Never been to Beervana before? Want to navigate the country’s biggest celebration of good beer like a pro? Have we got some hot tips for you!

WISHLISTING

The entire beerlist for Beervana is made available on the website a few weeks out from the festival. You’ll be able to peruse the brews and save your favourites so you can hit the ground running! If you’re all about the sours you’ll be able to check out every single one well before your session.

SAVE THE MAP, REFER TO IT OFTEN

Once all the breweries are locked in we make the festival map available online. This is a great way to plan your course, and seek out all those beers you’ve wishlisted in the most efficient way possible. The brewery listings will show which stand number they’re at.  It’s also a good way to find your mates if you do end up getting separated, and locate the other essentials like water stations, lost property and toilets.

EAT FOOD, DRINK WATER

Food really helps to keep you going while trying all those tasty brews, and we don’t want you to overdo it! Luckily Beervana’s food offerings are a few notches above your typical festival.  Think freshly shucked Mahurangi Oysters, award-winning Boulcott Street Bistro are there alongside local favourites Soul Shack and House of Dumplings, and long-time fans will be stoked to hear Hop Federations are bringing back their legendary Cheese Crayfish Rolls…! There’s a huge range to pick and choose this year, so there’s no excuse not to eat. Plus keep an eye out for the water warriors who will be roaming to keep you hydrated on H2O! There’s Good Sh*t sodas too…

PLAN YOUR WAY IN AND OUT

Sky Stadium is super central, so it’s really easy to stroll in from the CBD if you are taking the train or bus to the city, plus there is a drop off zone for taxis and Ubers.  Getting there is always more fun with friends, so why not sort out a rideshare and get a mate or partner to drop you off? We want everyone to get to Beervana and home again safely, and please don’t drive if you are drinking.

SET A MEET POINT

Even though the concourse is one big giant doughnut, it can get a little crowded and confusing for some.  Definitely set up a meet point in case you get lost, we recommend the merch stand, it’s near the entrance/exit (handy) plus you can chill and peruse the choice wares while you wait.

STAY SOCIAL

Keep up to date with us on social in the lead up for the latest news, brewery drops and competitions! We also post loads of on-the day-updates. Sometimes it’s just fun stuff, and sometimes it’s really important or useful info! We love seeing what you get up to as well! Tag us @beervananz and your fave breweries in and show us how much fun you’re having

GOOD VIBES ONLY

Beervana is for everyone, from the beer lover to the beer curious. We get lovely comments on how friendly the crowd is, and for that we are thankful.  Let’s keep the good vibes flowing, just like the good beer! We don’t tolerate bad behaviour, so if you do happen to come across any questionable situations, let a Beervana crew member know and we will sort it. Just don’t be a dick.

BEHAVIOUR POLICY >

EXTEND YOUR BEERVANA EXPERIENCE

This year as part of Visa Wellington On a Plate there will be even more to explore around Wellington.  So far we know Moon are doing a ‘handpull’ weekend and Little Beer Quarter (aka LBQ) have a few pre-festival shindigs worth checking out.  And….we haven’t even mentioned Burger Wellington presented by Garage Project…
